Team Rosters and Over-Age Players
Coaches are responsible for having a signed team roster showing player names, birth dates and jersey number. Copies of the team roster must be exchanged with opposing coaches prior to the start of each game, and games may be forfeited if a roster is not provided (forfeits are mandatory for tournament games). Coaches may obtain an official signed roster from their local age group coordinator, or from the Loudoun Soccer SFL Manager.
All players on a team must meet the age eligibility defined for that age group and division (based on the August 1 cut-off date). Unauthorized over-age players on a team can result in game forfeiture and ineligibility for tournament participation by the team. There are limited exceptions that can be made to allow Division 1 players to play on Division 2 teams in the U14 age group, but these exceptions require waivers from the SFL after requests are submitted by the club representatives.
