Summary of the Loudoun Soccer U9/U10 Recreational Program
The U9/U10 program builds on the U7/U8 program by adding two more players (one of which is a goalkeeper) and using a substantially larger field. Since the Fall 2003 season Loudoun Soccer has used a 7 v 7 format for U9/U10, but this format changed to 6 v 6 in the Fall of 2005 to be in line with USYS guidelines.

At Qtr Breaks
|
Loudoun Soccer U9/U10 teams play on small fields (40 x 60 yards) that have all the same markings as full size fields. Player substitutions may only be made at quarter breaks (no free substitution) unless there is an injury and a player has to come off. Goalkeepers must be changed at each quarter, and any player who is a goalkeeper must have two other quarters of play in other positions during a game.
