3rd Annual Family Fun Day Postponed

After careful consideration, Loudoun Soccer has decided to postpone our 3^rd Annual Family Fun Day to the fall season. We have made this decision early in an attempt to avoid incurring additional expenses.

It is our fear that with the ground already being saturated, and the forecast for heavy rain most of the day on Friday, that we will not be able to set-up the inflatable activities (moon bounces and giant slides). The company that provides these activities will not allow them if the ground is muddy and/or slippery for safety reasons for the children using them.

We want to thank you for the overwhelming response to this event, we look forward to seeing you in the fall!!

All-Star Information

6th Annual Loudoun Soccer Golf Tournament

The 6th Annual Loudoun Soccer Golf Tournament will be held on June 24th at Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club in Leesburg, Virginia. Click here for a registration form. Recreation Goalkeeper Training

The spring 2008 Rec Goalkeeper training starts Friday, April 11 and runs for 6 weeks. The sessions will run from 5:30-6:30 for U9-U12 players and 6:30-7:30 for U13 and above. The sessions are free to all registered recreation, challenge and SFL players. All sessions will be held at Smarts Mill Middle School (field #1). Directions can be found under the fields tab on the lefthand side of the home page.

Eddie Pope Teams with Loudoun Soccer

Eddie Pope, a former player for DC United and the US National team, has become affiliated with Loudoun Soccer and will be helping out in a variety of roles, including training teams and assisting with the CAP (College Assistance Program). Eddie has come through the American Youth Soccer system from recreation to three World Cups. We truly look forwarding to working with Eddie.

New Automated KidSafe Program

We have now automated our KidSafe background check process starting for the spring 2007 season. Due to the change over, anyone volunteering will need to fill out the on-line KidSafe form. For those volunteers using the on-line registration system, the form will automatically pop up during your registration process. Volunteers mailing in their registration will need to go to their household account to complete the KIDSAFE form or mail in a kidsafe form with their registration. This form can be found at http://www.lysa.net/CoachCorner/Library/index_E.html Thanks for your continued support!
